Three Events focusing on US-China Relationships

The Living Earth Movement invites you to participate in three high-priority and related presentations this month. As you know, our two-part Mission is to inspire global cooperation for the sake of all life on our planet, beginning with the United States and China and to promote ecological civilization, a new human civilization that lives in harmony with the rest of the ecosphere.
Some of our recent organizational activities have been seeking to identify other organizations with similar or related missions that we might be able to develop partnerships with and or collaborate in other appropriate ways. The two major organizations we have identified so far are the Committee for a Sane U.S.-China Policy (https://www.saneuschinapolicy.org/) and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (https://www.ncuscr.org/).
Because we are presently focusing on developing a relationship with the National Committee on their China Town Hall, the primary focus of this issue of the newsletter is to encourage you to make every possible effort to participate in three related events this week. Please register for all three events even if you don’t think you will be able to attend the live presentations because if you register, you will be able to access the recordings when they are made available.
The first and main event is the China Town Hall that will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:00 pm EST- 4:00pm PST featuring former U.S. ambassador to Russia, China, and Singapore, Jon M. Huntsman Jr. Please register at https://www.tfaforms.com/5016908 and then you will receive the Zoom link to attend.
The second event is produced by the International Academy for Multicultural Cooperation (IAMC). Exploring Pathways To Peace in the U.S. China Relationship will be held on November 16 at 8:00 pm EST-5:00pm PST. This event will feature Audrey E. Kitagawa, President and Founder of IAMC, Rorry Daniels, Managing Director of the Asia Society Policy Institute, and Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute. The third event will be the Monthly Living Earth Movement Meeting on Thursday November 17 at 4:00pm EST-1:00 PM Pacific. The topic of this special event is the Significance of U.S. China Cooperation on Climate Solutions. John Cobb and other participants will comment on what was shared during the China Town Hall and the following IAMC event. Then everyone will be encouraged to participate in the conversation.

Please join us for all three of these opportunities to gain a better understanding of how the relationship between the U.S. and China affects every aspect of our lives! More details on each of the individual meetings are provided below.

CHINA Town Hall connects leading China experts with Americans around the country for a national conversation on the implications of China’s rise on U.S.-China relations and its impact on our towns, states, and nation. The National Committee is proud to partner with a range of institutions and community groups, colleges and universities, trade and business associations, and world affairs councils to bring this important national conversation to local communities around America for the 16th consecutive year.
We are delighted to announce that the 2022 CHINA Town Hall program will be held on Wednesday, November 16, at 7:00 p.m. EST, and will feature former U.S. ambassador to Russia, China, and Singapore, Jon M. Huntsman Jr.
Please register at https://www.tfaforms.com/5016908 and then you will receive the Zoom link to attend.

We invite you to watch the recording of the most informative monthly Living Earth meeting on October 27 featuring John Perkins.
The link for that on the LEM YouTube channel is https://youtu.be/aZeQcJuzpjI.
John’s new book is now available for preorder at https://johnperkins.org/economichitmanbook

We invite you to share your suggestions for programs and resources we could offer to help make progress toward our mission. In the next few days we will be sharing details of an exciting new initiative that was proposed by one of our participants. We think you’re going to enjoy this new interactive program that came from conversations and explorations inspired by John Cobb!
Thank you again for your support of the Living Earth Movement!
